Jim Shields dropped me a nice note pointing out Mandeni culling is part
of an extensive research program & they've already seen an increase in
bird diversity.  There was a mention of the research in the SMH piece
which I missed as I read it over breakfast.

informed) e-mail, its because I only saw his reply after I sent my
e-mail ]
