Spotted Greenshank on 80 mile Beach WA

Yesterday the 2nd of December Tony Kirkby and myself whilst conducting a 
organised shorebird count of the area located a Spotted Greenshank. Some 
estimate this species to have only 1000 pairs left in the world.
The bird was with a group of 80 Common Greenshank and showed the main 
features for ID Heavy 2 toned yellow/blackish bill.
Yellow legs that were very short and white under wing to name a few.

It was searched for again after the count and again later that evening but 
couldnt be found. This isnt very suprising as there were 41,000 other 
shorebirds in the 10km stretch that we were counting at the time.
