Proposed new Hunter Valley Dam

I liked the comment given by an environmentalist (if she was named I can't
remember who she was) on the ABC News the other night.
viz: '(the money needed to build the dam) would buy an awful lot of water
tanks'.

And as someone who has suffered from the effects of development imposed on
my property, I can sympathise with the landholders who will be displaced by
this dam. As usual, the country people pay the price for things the city
people think they want.
If I sound bitter, it's because I am.
