I recall the words of a bearded man, who many of us would have heard of, that
lived long before the media existed. To paraphrase his words......
"He/she who is without sin ( can substitute typo, mis fact etc......) can cast
the first stone ( substitute harsh word, criticism etc....)"!!!!
We should all be thankful that the journo's are at least reporting such
things.........
Yours in all things "green"

Newsflash! Television news editor makes mistake!
Like most of us, on some days I make the occasional mistake. But on
every other day I make PLENTY of them!
Not too many people find out about my errors (unless I make them on
birding-aus). When a journalist, editor, newsreader, copywriter
makes an error in a story, thousands of people know about it
immediately. OK - so their job is to report the truth and to report
accurately - but I ask: Have you never made a mistake at work?
I don't have a problem with people mentioning errors in the media (I
quite like Media Watch myself!) but I don't think we should ridicule
journos for an occasional slip. It is probably a lot more productive
to congratulate them for doing the hard yards and getting stories out
to the public quickly, or investigating complex issues and explaining
them in a way that makes sense.
