I too spent most of the weekend in Gippsland but didn't get further east
than the Orbost area. A few differences in our best birds though.
My best birds seen were:Topknot Pigeon - at least 3. (Cabbage Tree Palm Picnic Ground and Dyers Creek) Scarlet Honeyeater (Fairy Dell) Also on my list were: Brown Gerygone Black-faced Monarch Azure Kingfisher Cicadabird (heard) Noisy Friarbird Rose Robin Baillons Crake Southern Emu-Wren I'll have to find another long weekend to go back for your good 'uns.
