Dear All
Have just spent the Melb Cup long weekend in East Gippsland, mainly the
Mallacoota area.

Best birds seen were:
Eastern Bristlebird (2, poss 3) - Cape Howe Wilderness
Eastern Reef Egret (1 dark phase) - Bastion Beach Mallacoota
Channel-billed Cuckoo (2) - Metung
Figbird (1 male - same tree as CBC) - Metung

Others:
Brown Gerygone
Black-faced Monarch
White-headed Pigeon (heard)
Brush Cuckoo

and many others. My total was over 120. Pretty good considering it rained the
most time I was there and the only sunshine was on the drive back to Melbourne.

Yes Martin, I will be putting in some atlas forms for the rare ones...

Yours in all things "green"

Regards
