Dear all -- Heard our first Koel here in Schofields (NW Sydney) this morning). Heard my first on the way to work in Blacktown south yesterday morning. They are normally here by mid-October, I think -- if not earlier. I haven't kept records, but they are usually around by the end of the school holidays. Does any one have any reasons to explain their lateness in so many places this year?
