Dear all --

Heard our first Koel here in Schofields (NW Sydney) this morning).

Heard my first on the way to work in Blacktown south yesterday morning.

They are normally here by mid-October, I think -- if not earlier. I haven't
kept records, but they are usually around by the end of the school holidays.

Does any one have any reasons to explain their lateness in so many places
this year?

Gordon in Schofields
