Thanks a lot for the tip off Keith. I can report that the bird was in the
water at 6pm on the 30th. I arrived at about 5:30, had a good look around
and thought I might have dipped. As I was checking the street directory for
directions to the other wet spots around there a large duck landed in the
dam, scattering the 30 odd pink ears. I've never been so happy to see a duck
before.
