Hi Marlene, That is one of Australia's easiest to identify feathers (and strangely I think we had another very similar request recently). It is an inner secondary of the Australian White Ibis, in this case from the left wing. See eg the bottom right of the picture in Pizzey & Knight page 121. The black and white with the long rather fluffy loose inner barbs of the feather are totally distinctive. Philip |
