While on a morning walk along "Ben's Walk" in Nowra, NSW, a Black Bittern (probably male), was seen flying downstream along the Upper Nowra Creek. The location was approximately 34°52'36"S 150°35'19"E (based on Google Earth maps.) According to Pizzey & Knight, this species is rare south of Sydney. -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Paul Taylor Veni, vidi, tici - I came, I saw, I ticked. ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
