Well Tim, you may still be unresolved because I disagree with Graham Buchan! I reckon Blue-billed. Musk Duck lacks such a spatulate tip to the bill. The bulbous base to the bill is a bit exaggerated for Blue-billed but not outrageously so. Moreover the plumage is that of a Blue-billed. The dark head with the pale streak arcing up from below the eye over the ear-coverts is typically Blue-billed. Musk has a dark capped effect where the pale line starts above the eye. QED. |
