I live in Werribee!!!
I live nearby too. What I meant was that I have never visited the Treatment
Plant (my interest in birds is low level, and I have been lurking here).
The original poster implied it is so good that people come from interstate
to visit it. What I want to know is what make the actual Treatment Plant so
good for birding. Is it simply because there are so many birds there? If
so, surely there are other swamps just as good. Or is it simply that this
swamp (I assume it's a swamp) has very good access? I.e. are there far
better swamps which are very hard to get to and move around in?
On a very poor day we tally 60+ birds, as far as I know 105 is about
the most seen in a day.
Perhaps I should go there one day. What do you have to do to get access?
