Went to Penrhyn Rd this afternoon to try for another of Graham's Plovers that he keeps seeing. Whilst I didn't see the American Golden Plover I did see the Grey Plover which was a new bird for me. I also saw another new bird this morning at McGraths HIll STW near Windsor - a Baillons Crake. i was hoping for the Wood Sandpiper that Keith Brandwood keeps seeing (which i think is now fictional) but missed it yet again. I am slowly closing in on the 500 species mark with today bringing up 495!

I haven't written a trip report from my recent trip to Cape York and Bowra so if anyone would like any specific info please don't hesitate to email. Favourite new birds on that trip were Yellow-billed Kingfisher (after 2 Cape trips and much searching and hearing it everywhere) and Grey Falcon at Bowra being harrassed by Brown Falcons.

Cheers
David Stowe
