Hi all, Took a group out birdwatching in my local area (Mandalay in Fig Tree Pocket) this morning and added 3 new birds to my area list (taking the total to 133). The new birds were Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Topknot Pigeon, and Gull-billed Tern. In addition, I had good views of Little Shrike-Thrush, and we also saw Crested Terns, a Caspian Tern, and a Silver Gull (we are a long way from the river mouth so I was very surprised at so many terns and gulls for a morning). Also a report of one Channel-billed Cuckoo calling this morning is the second record for the area this season.
