Hi all, Went out last night to try for White-throated Nightjar at the JC Slaughter Falls area of Mt Coot-tha and wasn't disappointed. Had a minimum of 2 WT nightjars flying around in the very early evening (wasn't even dark at the time). Of more interest though was the 3 Owlet Nightjars calling from just off the path, which I understand are not common at the site. Also had 2 Tawny Frogmouths (seen), at least 3 Powerful Owls heard calling into the evening, and at least one Southern Boobook calling as well. On our way out of the park I also saw a Bush Stone Curlew and a mother and baby Brushtail Possum to complete a very successful evening of spotlighting.
