no greg, i dont remember, although as i said before the females had no "colour" on their chest thanks to you both! Kev :) -----Original Message----- From: Greg Sent: Friday, 22 September 2006 10:06 AM To: Kevin; Birding-aus Subject: Buttongrass walk, Bunyip SP Hi Kevin, Peter Ewin contacted me and asked why the robin couldn't have been a Rose Robin. At first I was doubtful but I played around with the contrast and brightness and now agree with Peter that your bird was indeed a Rose Robin. The microhabitat that it was photographed in is also right for Rose Robin. Do you remember if it had a rose coloured breast rather than a scarlet or orange-red breast? Greg Clancy |
