Hi Kevin,Peter Ewin contacted me and asked why the robin couldn't have been a Rose Robin. At first I was doubtful but I played around with the contrast and brightness and now agree with Peter that your bird was indeed a Rose Robin. The microhabitat that it was photographed in is also right for Rose Robin. Do you remember if it had a rose coloured breast rather than a scarlet or orange-red breast? Greg Clancy |
