Hi Bill, Carl etc.It is important to not let the debate over the OBP and the wind farm decision blind us to the fact that wind farms appear to be killing thousands (?millions) of birds and bats throughout the world as well as creating eyesores in prominent scenic sites and causing stress to nearby residents with their noise. Global warming is a greater threat and if wind farms were the only answer then we should have them but I don't believe that they are the best answer. Solar power is the only long term answer, along with a reduction in demand by lifestyle changes. Solar could be replacing the coal fired power stations but instead money that could bring the solar technology into play is spent on researching carbon sequestration i.e. burying CO2 underground - out of sight out of mind!!
