I was just thinking that Spring must be close to springing. Heard my first
Noisy Friar Bird for the season. Coincidentally I also saw a possible
escapee, but not certain, a Western Ringneck. Again, I'll see if I can
tempt
it in later.

Yesterday evening I sighted and heard a female Crested Bellbird in my
yard for the first time ever. I hope she has a family closeby. This
morning
the calls of Grey Strike-thrushes can be heard from the parkland up the
road. Also sighted yesterday evening is either an inmature Crimson or
Western Rosella. Probably an escapee. It did not hang around for long
enough
for a definate ID. I will try and attract it back with some parrot seed.
