Hi,If you are interested in crows and ravens then I strongly recommend the book "In the company of Crows and Ravens" by Marzluff and Angell. It contains a wealth of information about them, their evolution, habits, social customs communication etc etc. I can't remember an episode like you mentioned, in the book but I wouldn't be surprised.
