Birders, some serendipity. I wandered across Wentworth Park today to Bintel to have a look at some scopes. The attendant and I set up one on the balcony to scan the pigeons. "There's a bird up there in the tree, have a look at that" So i trained the scope onto what I was expecting to be a pigeon, only to find a Figbird, calling plaintively. A new bird for me, and I think I've got the call nailed with the re-inforcement of such an unusual situation. An excellent ad for the scope in question.
