Not seen on the survey, but today (Monday 7 Aug) there were at least six Swift Parrot at beginning of the Bailieston Track in Rushworth State Park. May be worth following up. To get to there, from Nagambie, take the Rushworth Nagambie Rd. After approx. 10 km you reach the Bailieston Track - which turns to the left - not sign posted. (This is approx. 1 km after the Bailieston East Rd and immediately after the 61/64 sign.) Follow the track for 1 km until reach large roadside puddle. Cross and park. The birds are in the flowering Box-Ironbark on the left ridge - in the area intermixed with Grass trees. Cheers, Tim |
