Counted twenty six the first time there just walking the tracks, next
time only one or two.

I've seen Bristle birds both times I've been there, and they were right
near the birders hut on the track out to Cooks Nose. Have a slow walk
along the track and they usually jump out from cover.

On second thoughts, we didn't see them the first time down there, mostly
because it was raining that hard I couldn't see the ground in some
places. But the second time we saw plenty, almost before getting out of
