Birding in Sydney

I will be attending a professional conference in Sydney 7/25 thru 7/28 at  
the convention center. I will be staying at the Sheraton 4 Points Hotel. I was  
wondering if anyone could take me birding either a morning or afternoon. I 
would  be happy to pay for gas and lunch. I am from southern California.
