Hi Greg

Not many banders, that's for sure!!!

Did a quick query to see who has banded Kestrels within 100kms of Sydney
and came up with:

Penny and Barry stopped banding Kestrels in 2003, but did only use a
single metal band for chicks (adults got a unique colour band combo).
Quite possibly one of theirs that has dispersed.  Pretty sure the
greatest movement we had from that study was only about 40km though.

Jeff Hardy and Taronga Zoo Rehab have both banded Kestrels in the area
in the past 2-3 years, so more than likely one of theirs.  Most of the
other records in the area are from the 70's and late 80's.
