I also saw the bird yesterday - went with three others from the
Tamworth/Gunnedah area and we had fantastic views of it for quite a while.
Near the silos once again and it wasn't at all concerned by all the people
watching.   Nobody left the vicinity of their cars, but we were standing
outside them quite openly.   We were close enough to see every detail
without the need to get out scopes.

I was glad to see that despite the deformed foot, the bird was feeding
happily and looks very healthy.

Incidentally, for us the bird was very easy to find - we just looked for
other birdwatchers - they already had it in their scope!

The bird looks very settled, so I imagine there will be plenty more chances
to see it.
