Other contenders include Windbag Bore, in Queensland, Several Mount
Buggeries (SA and Vic) and the many enticing water features of inland
Australia e.g. Dead Calf Dam (Qld), Dead Cow Lagoon (Qld), Dead Dog
Waterhole (NT), numerous Dead Horse Creeks (NSW, NT, Qld, WA), Dead
Horse Lake (NSW) and Dead Horse Waterhole (NT).
Someone should put together an attractive tourist brochure.

This brings up an interesting point, Mount Mee might be the funniest named
landmark in Australia. Surely it's a joke? I know I laugh every Christmas on

Hi Birders,
The Red-backed Kingfisher at Dayboro showed very well this morning to
myself, Dan Mantle, and Seb.
Directions: From Dayboro take Mt. Mee road, turn right onto
Fingerboard Rd, then left onto Lyndhurst Rd. The bird was usually on
the fenceposts of the field between the first and second houses on the
right. Also Brown Quail and Restless Fly in the area.
Best wishes,
