Ground Parrot at Malabar

I've had a pretty reliable report, from someone who works for
NPWS, that another amazing bird has turned up at the Malabar
Headland in Sydney, almost as amazing as the Orange-bellied
Parrot of 2003. A Ground Parrot was found at the Malabar
sewage works and taken into care by NPWS. They are intending
to release it back at the headland. I suggested they take it
to Barren Grounds instead, where it would probably have a
better chance of survival. Ground Parrots were reported here
in 19th Century. I don't know when the last Sydney record
was. I'm sure Alan Morris does.

I'll update if I hear more.
