The cat bought home a Silvereye this morning. She normally only picks up birds already dead on the ground. I do not know where she got it from as I have not seen or heard any in the neighbourhood. The results on the Starlings are they all died from natural causes. They seemed to be weaker older birds who could not handle the sudden cold snap. The birds will be tested by temps of -7 to -8 forecast for the end of the week.
