Stand in front of your windows - all of them at once - and wave your
arms. Works for me.
Actually, I moved house recently . I used to get strikes all the time
at my old place where the windows were infrequently washed in an attempt
to reduce strikes. I've been at my new place, where the windows are
equally unwashed ( rain plus dust), for 15 months now and haven't
noticed any strikes at all. I have no explanation for this. Bird species
and window areas are pretty much the same at both locations.
This question has come up many times before but to my knowledge no
effective remedy has been suggested.
