A quick note to let everyone know that the next public lecture of Birds
Australia is Thursday 11 May 2006 (this Thursday) at 8:00pm. We are
fortunate to have as our guest speaker one of Australia's leading
ornithologists Dr Mike Clarke, who will be talking about 'Ecological
burning: the challenge of catering for the birds'.
The talk will be held at Birds Australia's usual venue, downstairs at
the theatrette at Strathcona BG Grammar School, Scott St, Canterbury,
Melbourne, Victoria (Melways Ref. 46 D12). Mike's talk will be preceded
by a discussion into rare and unusual bird sightings in Victoria and
Australia.
