Hi Frank and Birding-aussers,

I have seen Brown Gerygonies on the track out to the Henry Head lighthouse
(Endeavor Light) I think this is in the North Botany Bay National Park,
(Sydney). There were only two or three of them in heath which I thought very
unusual. It was a long time ago and I can't remember the time of year.

> Went to Botnay Bay NP at La Perouse on Sat morning (6/5). Loads of
Yellow-faced Honeyeaters moving through, with a fw small groups of
White-naped honeyeaters mixed in. The latter never seem to be as common as
the former when they are present in the cooler months here in the eastern
suburbs. Higher than normal numbers of Spotted pardalotes seemed to
indicate some movement also, and loads of Silvereyes with a range of racial
plumages were present. Several Eastern Spinebills were calling or seen, and
I only seem to see these here in autumn or spring. Interestingly, there
were a few groups of Brown Gerygones moving through patches of woodland -
although I had seen the same species the day before at Centennial Park, I've
only seen them once before in the district (and uncertainly seen them at
that), 4 years ago, so i was impressed to see them. Hoskins mentions that
they can move into drier habitats in the autumn winter months, and this seem
to be supported by these sightings. has anyone else had evidence of this?
