Despite the arguments for Western I would go for Mangrove. The care quite
common in Casuarinas near the Mangrove and it is a far more likely bird than
Western.

Subject: Please help me with an identification.
Hi all,
I need help with.....apart from the obvious........a bird identification.
Check it out at:
http://users.tpg.com.au/inglisrc/gerygone130406.htm
The photo was shot on Bribie Is in SE Queensland so that should help
considering I am sure it is a
Gerygone.
I think I know what it is but I don't want to create a bias by declaring my
opinion.
If it is what I think it is, then, at last I have a reasonable image of a
bird I have been trying to
photograph for a few years now.
If anyone doesn't want to declare their choice in public send your comments
to me at:
and, if you are wrong I will not tell anyone.
If you are correct I will tell the world.
Good luck,
Bob Inglis
