RFI - Alice Springs & Ayers Rock

I am wondering if anyone has any recent information on a couple of species I
hope to see on a trip to the Alice Springs area shortly. I am doing the usual
Alice Springs - Kings Canyon - Ayers Rock tourist loop.

Having been there before, the main targets are all difficult ones. Most wanted
bird is Inland Dotterel. I know there was a report from Kunoth last year, but
does anyone have any other suggestions?

Kunoth also seems to be the place for Grey Honeyeater and Slaty backed
Thornbill, but there must be other places for the Thornbill?

Black breasted Buzzards are, I suppose, possible anywhere. On the basis you
don't get information if you don't ask, does anyone have any suggestions for
Grey Falcons? One book suggests the Valley of the Winds at the Olgas - has
anyone seen them there recently?

Finally, what about the golden backed form of Black chinned Honeyeater?

Please reply directly to me.

Thanks,

Murray Lord
