A Pacific Baza was mixing it with pedestrians in down-town Miller St North Sydney this afternoon. It was very sociable, perched on handrailing & mewed at onlookers, then flew between them brushing its wings against them to land on the handrailing beside them & mew again. It was placed in a box & was waiting for WIRES to arrive. It seemed confident around people so I suspect it has been a pet or zoo bird.
If you have lost him give WIRES a call, he's had a big day out.
