Brush Cuckoo in the You Yangs

Hi All,
 
After consulting with Mike Carter and Danny Rogers, we can confirm that the odd cuckoo reported in my previous posting was in fact a barred morph Brush Cuckoo. This is an unusual sighting at the best of times and it seems even more so at this time of year. The barred morph apparently only occurs in females. Of particular interest about the bird was a quite obvious green sheen on the upperparts, reminiscent of the smaller bronze-cuckoos.
