The Koels have left my place in Maroochydore.  The male departed on Monday, 6th March, after a weekend of celebration with the female.   She left on Sunday 19th March.

Today there are still plenty of Dollarbirds here, and yesterday, with winds stirred up by "Wati", there were White-throated Needletails by the hundreds, with quite a few Fork-tailed Swifts amongst them.   We don't normally see too many Fork-tails right on the coast.

Haven't seen Cicadabirds regularly, so I'm not sure of their status, and similarly with Channel-billed Cuckoos.

I'll look forward to their returns later in the year.

Robyn
