Hi All, A fishing trip out from West beach and Glenelg yesterday yielded several sightings of Arctic Jaegers. They were between 2 and 5 km offshore, and usually in pairs. Birds seen close enough for identification showed either a brown band separating a white throat from a white underside, or an all white underside, or were all brown. Short protruding central tail-feathers easily seen. At least 5 sightings of pairs between 9am and 3pm. John Turner Adelaide <<attachment: winmail.dat>> |
