I find Kodak lens cleaning fluid and photographic lens cleaning (lint
free) tissues do an excellent job.These are designed to be used on
coated lenses, so one would expect that, used sensibly would cause
little damage to binocular and 'scope lenses. I have detected no
adverse effects on any of the optics I use it on.
