I always use a soft cloth to wipe off dust, dirt etc. If there is minor
damage to the coating I breath onto the glass so there is a bit of
condensation and then use the cloth to rub gently over the glass in a
circular motion, this will 'move' some of the coating into the 'gap'. You
could do the same with alcohol wipes although I prefer not to use them, if I
do use them I still use the 'breath and wipe' method afterwards.
