Hi All,
I also read that they (Passenger Pigeons) could not cope with buildings and because of their tight flock flying, they crashed into buildings en masse and many died before the flock had time to divert over or around buildings. I assume it to be true but I wasn't there. In Australia, the Swift Parrot has the same problem, although it doesn't fly in huge flocks. It is believable.
