Hi Mike and others,I have viewed your second photo and it is STILL a Jacky Winter. I personally can't see any resemblance to a triller. I am very familiar with both species of triller as well as the Jacky Winter. With respect to the question "does it really matter as these birds are common species?" I believe that any opportunity to assist less experienced birdos to hone their ID skills is worthwhile. It also creates interest and debate, which I also think is good. Regards Greg |
