Nobody has mentioned the Land Cruiser Troopies yet.  I think they're
probably as good as any vehicle, albeit a little rough, being
essentially a couple of seats on a gearbox.

The reason we had one (a while back - it was a 75 series SWB) was
exactly the issue that Adrian has just been talking about.  Because this
is (or was at the time) the most common 4WD in the outback, parts, both
new and reconditions were plentiful.  We needed a new clutch in Alice
Springs, and of course Kittles had a big stock.  We were back on the
road in hours.

unaware
