There was a Black-backed Magpie in Black Rock, Bayside, in January which had been around for a while. 
 
From Mel Mitchell's photos it looks like a tibicen to me, although the books show that race's range as only just entering Victoria near the Murray.
 
But I hadn't heard of race tyrannica before.  What is its usual geographical range, please.
