Gooday Jade,

Had the same experience about 3 klms west of Daybro about a week ago. About
20 to 30 Channel billed cuckoos feeding in a big old fig (not sure either
about the species of fig tree). Noticed that there were quite a few
youngsters amongst them. Maybe the parents have come back to pick them up
for the long haul north again. Probably teaching them a few feeding tricks
etc. Daybro is a small town about 25 klms North west of Brisbane.

Hi all,

Whilst birdwatching at a friends property in Gilston approximately 2 km's
from Hinze Dam on the Gold Coast in Queensland we managed to flush between
20 to 30 Channel-Billed Cuuckoos which were feeding in a fig tree. I am not
sure what species of fig tree it was but I must say it was amazing to see so
many CBC's feeding in the one tree.

Yours Sincerely
Mr Jade Welch
Gold Coast,
Queensland
