GPS useage

That is a terrible thing to happen.

This problem with memory was a problem with these
models.  The new Garmin GPS 72 which replaces the GPS
12 has no memory battery and "permanent" data storage.

I could not do without GPS these days - I just got an
old Magellan Pioneer (1997 model) going for someone
else (ANBG employee).  From waht I have been told,they
can be hard to get going to start with and I believe
there are a few around going unused.  I intend to get
any I find going and used.

They are all right once they get started.
