Recently I've purchased an IPod and attached an FM radio adapter. Not
only is the IPod excellent for playing bird songs in the field (i.e. you
can easily download the complete set of bird CDs. Don't tell anyone!),
it also enables you to download well over a thousand songs. Basically
you can selectively download your favourite songs from your (and others)
CD collection etc, and then either shuffle or select a theme.
On my IPod, shuffling ALL the songs might go something like this:
'I like Birds', The Eels
'Ain't Got No Home', Clarence 'Frogman' Henry (Great Song!)
'Purple Haze', Groove Armada
'Chan Chan', Buena Vista Social Club
'Tweet Tweet', Red-lored Whistler
'Dear Prudence', Beatles
'What'd I Say', Ray Charles
'Something's Gotta Give', John Butler Trio
'Posthorn Serenade', Mozart
'Jumping Jack Flash', The Rolling Stones
'Woof Woof', Barking Owl
Cheers,
Tim
