Dear All
I took a visiting UK couple to Chelsworth Park yesterday in what turned out to
be a heavy downpour of rain on a 40 degree day. We went looking for the
Nankeen NIght Heron, which up until yesterday, was guaranteed. Not so anymore,
dipped on it yesterday but when we arrived at the "crake pond" a spotless crake
was making the most of the abundance of mud that was in the pond. It was seen
foraging around the dead tree.

The pond was a sight to as I had been there on 2/1/06 to find hardly any edge
due to the water level being up. Quite the reverse yesterday, with very little
water at all.

We left quite pleased.

Regards
