Dear Birding-Ausers,
Last Saturday, Fred Smith found a Little Stint at the Parks Victoria
saltworks (now part of the Point Cook park). It was in fine breeding
plumage (of course) and was roosting with about 1,500 - 2,000 Red-necked
Stints.
I looked for it unsuccessfully in the same spot during the week, but
presumably it might still be around (either there or in the vicinity).
So, if anyone wants to look for it, the PV rangers know where Fred saw it.
Access to the saltworks is walk-in only so it is a walk of several kms
each way. You will need lots of water this weekend, which is going to be
really hot.
Regards
Chris

Sorry about the delay in delivering this message. The original post bounced,
and I've only just discovered the fact - apologies tho those who would have
tried to see this bird over the weekend.
