Greetings,Not Christmas day but on the 26th my wife and I saw two Wompoos on nests, had male Superb and Rose Crowned Fruit Doves in the one binocular view and had five Buff-banded Rails hatch in the bush house. Not bad for a day spent mostly in front of the TV watching the cricket. Some Sarus Cranes still on the Atherton Tablelands and Blue-faced Parrot-Finches being seen daily on Gourka Road.
